I began my yoga journey more than 20 years ago; I remember leaving that very first class with what I call yoga bliss! From that moment Yoga became my life, my love, my passion. Yoga literally saved my life, I suffered from depression and anxiety with low self-esteem and panic attacks that disappeared through the magic of yoga.
I completed my first yoga teacher training in 2008 after an 18month mentorship style teacher training I had amazing yogi mentors & feel extremely blessed for their teachings. From then I have continued my study attending a number of workshops, intensive studies & Ashram Sadhana.
Yoga is a completely holistic & traditional practice with rich philosophy to strengthen not only the body but equally the mind & spirit.
I live my yoga daily. I believe it is in the doing of yoga we experience all its wonderous miracles. Yoga is everything we do mindfully and the way in which we choose to connect to ourselves every day is the most important form of yoga. It is through making the commitment to yourself to practice yoga everyday and by allowing space to do the things that you love each day, no matter how small, this is yoga. Yoga consciously directs our energy, as we practice, we become more aware of our body-mind. We learn to adjust & let go; in this way we learn to develop a deeper connection to ourselves, we begin to learn our own language and truly begin to listen honestly & openly. Through this honest conversation with ourselves our yoga brings an awareness of all actions, thoughts, emotions, vibrations; it becomes a way of life, creating a curiosity to discover a deeper awareness of Self. Yoga helps us to remove the obstacles that prevent us from living fully in happiness & connection with ourselves and all beings. Yoga provides a way that we are able to give to ourselves, so that we can fully give to all others.
Kate is such a beautiful teacher, Kate has a magical ability to provide something for everybody and is so good in observing people and what they need at the time. I’m constantly in awe with her passion, compassion and commitment to her class and also to what she’s teaching. I find when I leave her classes I take a lot with me into my day/life, she really gets into your bones, so grateful I get to be apart of this class ❤️
